The Dane County Farmers’ Market believes that investing in today’s youth will build better farms and farmers for tomorrow.

An educational scholarship fund has been established. With seed money provided by generous DCFM producers and patrons, the purpose of the fund is to provide grants to promising students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture.

Administered by the Madison Community Foundation, the fund can be accessed at The Dane County Farmer’s Market Scholarship Fund.

If you are interested in donating, the fund number is: 8090802. Your tax-deductible donation can make a difference for a generation of young men and women who are wanting to get the education that is so important for successful farming.

Scholarship applications for the 2024/2025 academic year are due February 1, 2024. You can find more information, including the application, here.
