WI Whisk Recipe of the Week - Cranberry Apple Relish

This relish recipe from the Dairyland Cook features local apples and cranberries and is the perfect pairing for succulent turkey!
- 1 pound cranberries
- 2 peeled, cored and chunked apples (Granny Smith or other crisp apple)
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup cranberry juice
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- In a pot over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Stir and cook until berries begin to burst, then reduce heat to low.
- Continue cooking and stirring occasionally for 15 minutes or until thickened. Pour into a serving bowl, and eat hot or cover and refrigerate.
