Beginning on Saturday, April 10th, the DCFM will host a weekly Saturday Market outdoors from 7 am to Noon at the Alliant Energy Center. This market will be a traditional farmers’ market with primarily spontaneous shopping (bring cash - there is not an ATM on-site). Additionally, customers may choose to pre-order products and pick them up on foot from each vendor. There is no drive-thru pick up on Saturdays.
We are permitted to operate as an essential food access point and public health guidelines are in place, including a mask requirement for all patrons 5 years or older. Read our Safe Shopper Code of Conduct for more information.
Our online store opens for pre-orders at 8 am on Wednesday and closes at 5 pm on Thursday for our Saturday Market.
Getting to the Saturday Market at the Alliant Energy Center
Our Saturday Market at the Alliant Energy Center is located in the parking lot of the Exhibition Hall.
To get to the Saturday Market, navigate to the main entrance of the Alliant Energy Center via Rimrock Road. Turn on to Alliant Energy Center Way and follow the signage directing you to turn left into the Farmers' Market Parking area.
When you have concluded your market trip, turn right to exit via Alliant Energy Center Way.
Bicycle racks are located in the parking lot of the Exhibition Hall. Please lock your bike at the provided bike racks or walk it through the market area. You may not ride through the market.
Take the Bus to the Market
Madison Metro Transit provides bus service in the City of Madison. Please check out their Routes & Schedules webpage to explore bus services near the Alliant Energy Center.
Patrons can park for free directly next to the Saturday Market area. This is the only on-site parking available to farmers' market shoppers. To access this free parking area, navigate to Rimrock Road. If traveling east-bound, turn left onto Alliant Energy Center Way. If traveling west-bound, turn right onto Alliant Energy Center Way. Note if able, travel west-bound on Rimrock as it is much easier and causes less congestion to turn right onto Alliant's campus.
After turning onto Alliant Energy Center Way, follow the signage and turn left into the large parking area. There will be signage with 'Farmers' Market Parking Here'! You will be able to park either north of the market area of west of the market area (see map). You can park in any of the available parking spaces.
Handicap parking is available on site in the parking lot of the Exhibition Hall adjacent to the market area.
No pets allowed, except for service animals.
