Posted on April 17, 2020 | General News
For many, picking out plants at the Saturday Market on the Capitol Square during the spring and early summer is a beloved annual endeavor. Although the market cannot operate business as usual at this time, you can still source quality, local plants from your favorite farmers this home gardening season!
Check out our 2020 Dane County Farmers' Market Local Plant Guide for a directory of 30+ DCFM-member farms and nursery growers. The guide includes details about each farm, their product offerings, and how to order. Plants available include vegetable starts, herb plants, flowering annuals and perennials, bulbs and tubers, as well as unique trees and shrubs.
Reminder that this is a great time to plan your garden and potentially pre-order, but count on actually planting your garden in May and June when the fear of frost is in the past!
