Late Winter Market is closed indefinitely + how to buy local from our vendors
Posted on March 17, 2020 | General News
The Dane County Farmers' Market Late Winter Market is closed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our hearts go out to all those impacted by this outbreak and we hope you stay safe and well during this tough time.
We know many count on our weekly farmers' markets as a source of fresh food and community. Furthermore, small farms and food producers operate within tight margins such that an emergency or disruption to their business can cause financial hardship. The uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 outbreak further impairs farmers’ ability to plan for the future.
In the hope of connecting our patrons to our vendors so that they can continue to interact with one another directly, we have assembled an up-to-date list of our Late Winter Market vendors and the alternative purchasing options they are making available to the community. Many of our farmers are offering home delivery or on-farm pick-up of fresh greens, local meats, fresh chicken eggs, and more. Click the link below to connect with our local farmers and food producers.
Thank you for your continued support of our small farmers and food producers! We will continue to share any updates as this situation evolves. Thank you for your continued trust in the Dane County Farmers' Market. Stay well.
