Willy Street Co-op matching up to $5000 in donations to the Emergency Farmer Fund in May
Posted on May 08, 2020 | General News
Local food and local producers are very important to the Willy Street Co-op. And they understand that many local farmers and producers that rely on sales at farmers' markets, to restaurants, to schools, and via CSA have had their income eliminated or severely reduced.
We are pleased to share that - in line with their ongoing support of local farmers and our local food system - the Willy Street Co-op is matching donations made May 1st thru May 31st to the Dane County Farmers' Market and FairShare CSA Coalition Emergency Farmer Fund. They have committed a match up to a maximum of $5000 donated.
In partnership with the FairShare CSA Coalition, the DCFM would like to express immense gratitude to the Co-op for this generous matching campaign! They are generous and loyal community partners to the DCFM, to FairShare, and to our local producers.
The Willy Street Co-op is also campaign matching up to $5000 donated for the REAP Food Group and Raices para el Cambio - Roots4Change Farms To Families Emergency Initiative. You can read more about the Co-op's campaign match announcement here.
